This print comes from my ermine portrait series.  The ermine, aka stoat or short-tailed weasel, lives throughout the northern part of North America and Eurasia.  While I’ve never seen one in the wild, I did see one inside of my sons’ preschool classroom years ago, and I even got to help shoo it outside!  European (human) royalty traditionally prizes ermine fur as a symbol of wealth and power, wearing it for court ceremonies and official portraiture.  But in this print the ermine is the royalty, dressed up to the nines in all kinds of forest and field findings and his winter white fur.  

7"x7" with a printed area of 5"x5."  High density, archival inks are printed onto beautiful, heavy weight Hahnemuhle photo rag paper, creating a long lasting, fade resistant print.  

Signed, dated and open edition.  This print will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard mailer, packaged and protected with waterproof, acid free materials.
