This listing is for my original work “Pomegranate.” This piece is part of my ongoing “Frost in the Forecast” series, a group of works inspired by the shift from autumn into winter. To me these works represent the bittersweet emotions of the season as we rush to harvest the garden’s final yearly offerings and move everything—including our bodies, hearts and minds—indoors. The dish, pomegranate, chipmunk and moth are all painted in acrylics, while the lace cloth is drawn in scratchboard.
